Boys Lacrosse Advance to State
Congratulations to the Royals Boys Lacrosse Team for advancing to the State Tournament. They won the section championship over St. Thomas Academy 10-6 on Thursday, June 9 in the 3A section final. In the exciting semi final game, the Royals took the lead in the middle of the fourth quarter over Eagan winning 12-9.
The Royals received the 5 seed in the tournament and will play the 4 seed Stillwater at Stillwater Area High School at 3 PM on Tuesday, June 14. The seeding is done by the teams that advance to the state. The Royals beat Stillwater 8-7 in conference play in mid May.
The games for the state tournament will be played at Stillwater Area HS and Roseville Area HS. You can view the brackets below. Today we received information from the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) regarding potential scheduling changes due to the predicted heat tomorrow. If the heat and humidity surpass the guidelines for play, the game would be suspended for 30 minutes. Games will not start after 10:30 PM and could be postponed until Wednesday morning. Any changes to the schedule will be posted on the SEC Calendar.
