Booster Club

About the WHS Softball Booster Club

Our booster club is a vital part to helping our program grow. Please make sure you are on the email distribution list and if not, ask to be added.

The purpose of the WHS Softball Booster Club is to raise money to benefit our softball program beyond what the School District provides. The District funds fall short of our needs, so additional funds are needed to help round out the program for the girls. In addition to fundraisers, the Booster Club also collects a per Player Season Fee of $150. Your participation in the booster fee is appreciated and helps make the softball season a better experience for all of the girls. For the 2024 season, all players will receive two practice shirts, a WHS Softball visor,  one player banquet ticket and team photos free of charge courtesy of the WHS Softball Booster Club.

How are Booster Club Fees and Fundraising Used?

  • Training equipment - practice balls, nets, pitching machines, field enhancements etc.
  • Uniforms - team jerseys, helmets, practice shirts, visors, scrimmage shirts, coaching attire
  • Dome Time for Indoor Practices - HealthEast or other domes for practice/scrimmages are needed during inclement weather. The District no longer pays for these rental fees.
  • Expenses for Volunteer Coaches (not reimbursed by District)
  • Other expenses include team photos, printing of the game schedule poster, printing of senior banners, Senior Day expenses, Softball Banquet expenses, Team Parties, and more.

To make program successful, we need the help of every family with the booster club. We make it a fun and meaningful experience for everyone. A few minutes of volunteer time by all of us really does make a huge difference!

*** Please keep in mind, the Booster Club is made up of parent volunteers. They help coordinate team events, fundraising, apparel, and the banquet. Questions that do not pertain to those activities should be sent to coaches.
