For the 2nd consecutive season, Eagan ended Woodbury's team season in the Section 3AAA tournament.  The Royals dominated St Paul Central in their opening match 69-6, but fell to the Wildcats 51-15.

In the opener, the Royals won 6 matches by forfeit.  Cade Johnson, Will Bents, Cedric Ramos, Brock Rinehart, Donald Nde and Alex Mancera all took the 6 point forfeit victories.  The Royals won 13 of 14 matches; also winning were Cole West (fall), Nick Howe (fall), Omar Abdelal (fall), Sam Ellis (decision), Tre Hockenberger (decision), Mason Barrows (decision) and Max Fick (fall).

Against the #2 seed Eagan, the Royals were only able to win 4 matches.  Winning were West (fall), Rinehart (decision), Fick (decision) and Mancera (decision).  For Fick and Mancera, the victories were their final team dual matches in their Woodbury careers.

This Friday and Saturday, the Royals will be in the Section 3AAA individual tournament at East Ridge HS.  Action starts at 5:00pm on Friday and 10:00am on Saturday.  Come cheer the boys on for a place at state!
