Woodbury sent a total of 28 wrestlers to the mats on Saturday at Cannon Falls (19 Varsity, 9 JV), with 22 placing as the Varsity squad took the championship for the 2nd time in 4 years.  The Royals took 3rd in 2014 and 2016, 1st in 2017, 4th in 2018 and 2nd in 2019.  Woodbury beat 2nd place Hutchinson by 35 points to take home the title.

All 9 of the JV wrestlers placed in their respective weight classes, with Gavin Wilson, Logan Ryan and Noah Golden taking home titles: 

4th place:  Tyler Higa

3rd place:  Gais Algazi, Josh Williams

2nd place:  Caleb Howe, Stanley Iturrino, Dawson Baker

Champion:  Gavin Wilson, Logan Ryan, Noah Golden

For the varsity, 13 wrestlers climbed the podium on Saturday.  Nick Sieczkowski, Brock Rinehart and Tre Hockenberger took home titles; it was Rinehart's 3rd consecutive championship at Cannon Falls:

5th place:  Sebastian Zamorano, Omar Abdelal, Ahmed Abdelal, Trenton Willner

4th place:  Nick Howe, Mason Barrows

3rd place:  Will Bents, Denis Tokin

2nd place:  Alex Braun, Cade Johnson

Champion:  Nick Sieczkowski, Brock Rinehart, Tre Hockenberger

This week, the Royals host the District 833 quadrangular with Park and East Ridge, along with Scott West, currently ranked #9 in AA, on Thursday evening at Woodbury HS.  Action begins at 4:30pm.
