3003 Snelling Ave N, St Paul, MN 55113

Dimensions: LF-290, CF-376, RF-309, the left-field line is short; however, there is a 20-foot fence in left.  With the short left and right field lines and small foul ball area, Reynolds field can be a hitters’ ballpark.

Ballpark atmosphere:

The fact that prep high school players are playing on one of the best D3 college baseball fields will always add to the excitement levels of players, coaches, parents, and spectators, which creates a great atmosphere.  However, at Reynolds Field at Northwestern University the excitement level is even greater as it was completely renovated at a cost of 11 million dollars in 2014.

The field is outstanding and there is not a bad hop or soft/wet spot to be found as the field is a 100% artificial surface.  There are also enclosed bullpens next to each dugout giving a major league feel.

Rest Room Accommodations:

First-class restroom facilities are located at the entrance to the football stadium, which is a short walk south of the baseball field.

Shade:

The only negative aspect of Reynold's field is that there are no shaded areas.  Therefore, if it is a hot sunny day first be thankful and secondly bring some sunscreen, wear a baseball cap, and if you sit in the back row of the stands, bring along an umbrella to shade yourself so you do not obstruct the view of other spectators.

Sitting:

There is plenty of seating and the bleachers are your standard hard aluminum with no backrests unless you sit in the back row.  That said, watching a game at Reynolds Field is very enjoyable as the bleachers are located around home plate and sit on an elevated walkway that surrounds the field.  The walkway is about 4 feet above the field so the viewing angles are fantastic and the foul ball area is extremely small.  Therefore, as a fan watching the game, you feel like you are right on top of the action.

If you want a unique experience, there is the perch located down the right-field line.  This is a nice viewing area; however, no bleachers are in this area.  Therefore, you might want to bring a folding lawn chair along.

Parking/walking distance:

The best place to park in is the parking lot that circles around the outfield.  Unfortunately, there is not an abundance of parking spots in this area.  If this area is full, another good place to park is street parking on Lydia Avenue which is just south of Reynolds Field.

Food:

If the concession area is open it is very good.  The concession stand is located in the entrance to the football stadium and is the same food/selection that would be available for Northwestern University football home games.
