CHS is the Royals "home away from home." The Royals play sections, occasional SEC conference regular-season games, and state tournament games at CHS.  In fact, during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, the Royals were a combined 10 - 2 at CHS.

As you might expect, with CHS having opened in 2015 at a cost of 64.7 million, the experience for high school players and fans is unlike any other in prep baseball.

Dimensions: LF 330 feet, CF 405 feet, RF 320 feet

Ballpark atmosphere:

When a ball field has its own page on Wikipedia, you know it must have a good atmosphere.  This is the case with CHS Field: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CHS_Field.  For a prep baseball game, there is no better experience especially if the Royals are winning in sections as the crowds get bigger with students, parents, Woodbury community members, and of course, college scouts.

Rest Room Accommodations:

Restrooms are on location, plentiful, and most importantly, CLEAN!

Shade:

The best place to sit for shade is on the upper concourse.

Sitting/ Royal’s Dugout Location:

There is plenty of seating in the grandstand.  Which dugout the Royals have is dependent upon the Royals ranking in sections and/or state

 Parking/walking distance:

There is plenty of street parking. In addition, there is easy access parking in and around the St. Paul Depot.

Food:

There are on-site concessions and they are open during sections and state tournaments.

Places to eat before/after the game:

Plenty of places around town. Also, if the Royals are playing on a Saturday in sections or state, I recommend taking in the St. Paul Farmers Market.
