Dimensions: LF-tba, LCF-tba, RCF-tba

South Campus: 3551 McKnight Road North, White Bear Lake, MN 55110

Ballpark atmosphere:

The ballpark has some charm as it is tucked in among some houses and has walking trails that encircle the field as Varney Lake Park is directly Southeast of the field.  In fact, a long foul ball down the right-field line might splash in the lake if not for the trees.

The school is a great distance away from the field. With that and all the houses and trees around the field, the feeling is more like the teams are playing at a park in White Bear rather than the high school.

Another charming feature is the PA box which is basically a DJ area next to the field.  A student is normally working the PA Box providing introductions and music between innings.

The bad news, the field seems to have been an afterthought in the school planning and as a result is a long distance away from the school.  Therefore, student attendance at games is not as strong as it is at other SEC fields.

Rest Room Accommodations:

Port-a-potty.

Shade:

One of the few fields in the SEC with plenty of shade created by well-established trees that line both the 3rd and 1st baselines.

Seating/Visitor Dugout Location:

Very limited amount of bleacher seating available, probably the smallest bleacher area in the SEC.  And unfortunately, it is your standard hard aluminum with no backrests.  Definitely bring a lawn chair along and station yourself along the third baseline (visitor dugout) or the first baseline (home dugout).

Parking/walking distance:

If you park in the high school parking lot, the field is a LONG distance away.  In fact, if you look west from the high school parking lot you can't make out the field in the distance as there are permanent outdoor hockey rinks and numerous soccer fields between the baseball field and the high school parking lot.

Although the address for the White Bear Lake High School South Campus is McKnight Road North, the baseball field is actually located directly off of White Bear Avenue.

If there is not a meeting or training taking place, the best parking is located in the Sheet Metal Workers Training Center parking lot (3554 White Bear Avenue N, 55110).  However, the parking lot is designated for the training center so park at your own risk.

It is possible to park across from the field on Elm Street; however, you will then have to cross a busy White Bear Avenue.

Food:

No on-site concessions.

Places to eat before/after the game:

Directly north of the field on the corner of White Bear Avenue and County Road E East is a McDonald's and Pagoda (Chinese Restaurant).

In addition, the field is located less than a mile north of Maplewood Mall on White Bear Avenue and there are plenty of dining places in, and around, the mall.
