Ballpark atmosphere:

When a ball field has its own Facebook page, you know it must have some serious atmosphere. So is the case with Schumacher Field: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Schumacher-Field-Forest-Lake/212945855404838. 

The field is tucked into a residential neighborhood and is located in the midst of the town of Forest Lake. These two elements create a unique location that makes the game feel somewhat "big league."

The grandstand was build in 1995 and enhances the game-day experience greatly. Add in the major league sound effects and PA announcing and you have a great game day experience.

Rest Room Accommodations:

One of the few fields with restrooms on location.

Shade:

In addition to providing protection from rain, the grandstand creates some shade. The emphasis is some shade, not a lot. Because of the dimensions of the field, the grandstand faces west so the late afternoon sun shines directly into the grandstands during most games. Therefore, shade is not as plentiful as you would expect with a covered grandstand, and sunglasses are almost a necessity.

Sitting/Visitor Dugout Location:

There is plenty of seating in the grandstand.  The visitor/Royals dugout is along the third baseline. There is very little space to set up a folding chair if that is your preference.

 Parking/walking distance:

There is plenty of parking. In addition to the small lot adjacent to the field, a large lot is located kitty-corner across 3rd Avenue SW from the field. Fans can also park on the streets around the field.

Food:

There is on-site concessions.
