General Information

Purpose: The booster club is a group of team parents, who work together to support all levels of the WHS Boys Basketball program.  We support fundraising, special nights, and many other projects that improve our players’ basketball team experience.

Examples of our contributions to the program include:

  • Coordinating/Managing/Staffing the concession stand during home JV/Varsity games
  • Coordinating and sponsoring special nights, such as Senior Night, WAA night and the Kickoff Event.
  • Coordinating team dinners and end of season banquet
  • Working with local businesses on sponsorship program
  • Coordinating team pictures/ JV Varsity Banner/Sr. player posters
  • Support our players volunteer time at the WAA youth tournament
  • Supporting any special needs of the coaching staff/overall program needs

Volunteers Needed:  We are looking for volunteers for numerous positions and duties, the more people that can help the better!  We are especially hoping that parents of underclassmen are willing to actively participate in our activities this year.  Any parent should see Kent Getzlaff for additional information.  We are also hoping to keep the activities website updated with relevant information throughout the year.

Booster Club Fee: This year we are happy to announce that the fee we are asking for will remain $100. We ask that all families pay the Booster Club donation in support of our program.  During recent seasons booster fees have been used to pay for the following activities:

  • Costs associated with the holiday tournament including team registration, hotel rooms for players/coaches and team meal
  • Team registration fees for fall camps
  • Film software
  • Training sessions with ETS
  • Locker room snacks and speakers
  • Essential practice equipment
  • Yoga sessions
  • Shooting shirts for the team
  • Significantly reduces the number of fundraising events required by the program.

Checks can be payable to “WHS Boys Basketball Booster Club”, and are due after teams have been determined. Payment of the booster club fees may be made by having your son give it to their coach or directly to our Treasurer, Jennifer Frommelt.

We understand that for some families a $100 Booster Club fee may be a financial challenge. If this is the case for your family, please reach out to Coach Getzlaff. There may be alternatives to paying the Booster Club fee such as volunteering for open shifts, or volunteering for as a Concession Stand Coordinator for whom the Booster Club fee is waived.

Your help is appreciated! Thank you for your support!  GO ROYALS!
