Eagan High School Track & Field will be hosting the 2024 Wildcat Invitation Track & Field Meet tomorrow, April 23, 2024 at Eagan High School.

Congratulations to all the athletes whom competed at the SEC Open Meet hosted by Mounds View HS on Monday, April 15, 2024. The meet results have been linked below.

Woodbury Track & Field coaching staff truly appreciates the flexibility of the parents and athletes whom adjusted their schedules to participate in this rescheduled event.

The Mounds View SEC Open meet will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Please go to the following link to signup for events for which you'd like to compete. In the Google Spreadsheet, there are multiple tabs along the bottom including: Sprints, Hurdles, Relays, Distance, Jumps/Vault, Throws. Each of the tabs will contain the respective events for the category. Please insert your name in the event's you'd like to compete. For Relays, I've limited the number of teams to a maximum of five (5) teams per event.

MSHSL Rules

• No more than four (4) events per Meet. Events can include a maximum of: 3 Running Events and 1 Field Event -or- 3 Field Events and 1 Running event. Athletes cannot compete in 4 Running events or 4 Field event. Distance runners cannot compete in more than 2 running events over 800m per meet.

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, MSU Mankato will be hosting a High School meet at their indoor facility, Myer's Field House. I've included Meet Information and Schedule below. I believe MSU Mankato will also be live streaming the event on their video feed (link below). The competition will be fierce, but I am confident our athletes are up to the challenge! Welcome to the 2023-2024 Track and Field Season! The season is fast approaching and we are all ready to work hard and have a tremendous amount of fun doing so.

The season is planned to start on March 11, 2024, which is the week following Spring Break for ISD833. School does not start again for K-12 until March 12. Understanding there may be prior family commitments or plans, practice will be optional (but encouraged) on March 11.

We are very much looking forward to this season and hope you all are as well.

Hello Athletes and Parents. If you are planning to participate in Track and Field, please register through the link found on the WHS Activities Home Page.

Registration should open in February 15, 2024.

As we near the start of the official Track and Field Season, our Captains are leading optional Captain's Sprinter/Hurdler Practice's starting  the week of February 5, 2024 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. They will be meeting in the WHS High School Activities Center on the Indoor Track at 3:30PM and have put together a number of introductory sprinter workouts to help our team get ready for the season. 

As noted, this is an optional activity and is meant to help anyone wishing to join the WHS Girls Track and Field program get to know some of the other athletes on the team, get a feel for the rhythm of the Track workout, and start of the process of working out after our long off-season.

The 2024 Track and Field Parent/Student Informational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5:30 - 6:30PM (immediately following practice) in the WHS Lecture Hall. This meeting will include both Boys and Girls teams, as Coach Lane and I cooperate closely with our teams throughout the season and the information presented will be relevant to both programs.

The information to be covered will include registration, various team policies, practice and meet schedules,  transportation,  equipment/uniforms, team apparel, and Booster Club information. It is required that at least one parent from each family attend

John Opgrande, a parent and member of our Track & Field Booster Club, generously provided his time and energy this season in capturing photographs at MANY of our Track and Fields meets. He has provided a link (included below) to the photographs for all to view and save as you like.
