Royals return deepest team in years

Woodbury coach Wes Bolin saw his players’ maturity in one-on-one meetings after last season.

A few seconds later, Woodbury defenseman Marshall Tschida fluttered a puck on net that found its way past Park goaltender Dylan Coulter.

Royals see success over break

There wasn’t much of a holiday break for the Royals boys hockey team. It opened up play at the South St. Paul Holiday Tournament a day after Christmas, wrapped up that competition with two more games, and then played a game the day after New Year’s Day.

It finished its recent stretch 2-2 with impressive wins against New Prague and South St. Paul and losses to Bloomington Jefferson and St. Michael-Albertville.
